I will definitely continue going to Charlotte for any type of medical treatment. The cancer center pretty much shunned me saying it wasn't feasible to get blood and platelet transfusions there because my blood type was special. So instead I need to drive two hours away to Charlotte, where I was receiving chemo, every other day to get my blood checked and see if I may need some sort of transfusion. Praise the lord the hospital in Whiteville, a satellite location of CMC, said they would have me. And the only thing they needed to do was order my blood ahead of time JUST IN CASE I may need it, if not another patient could receive it. Firsthealth Cancer center said they couldn't even to blood work on me........ They are trained to be patient focused but most people I have come in contact with while there seem to care less. Then I contacted human resources to see if they do internships and the person helping me seemed to have an attitude and didn't really attempt to help me. She just said I need talk to my school about a contract with them for internships. I'm pretty sure she could have spent an extra few minutes to see if the school had a contract with them.
Nice and very caring , made me laugh which is good for healing .
Horrible! To go to an emergency room and not being able to see a real doctor was not what I expected. most of the people we talked to were rude, from 3 of the 4 people we saw who registered my husband (yes, 4 people to register him) to the abnoxious nurses we found inside, to the rude person who checks you out and gets your payment. Plus they couldn't help my husband because they didn't have the equipment. Next time I'll go to a real hospital with an actual doctor. Annoyed!!
This hospital has a habit of letting you just sit in the waiting room no matter how bad the problem. I took someone to this hospital once and wile he was waiting in the waiting room for hours he began to sweat as if someone had poured a bucket of water on him. He also lost his sight while waiting and we asked for help but they did nothing. By the time they finally took him back, he slumped over and died before they even got him out of his wheel chair. The family should've sued in my opinion. Then I took someone else to the hospital who was having contractions and pouring blood. They placed her to wait in the waiting room. While waiting, there was an older man there in so much pain with a blood pressure cuff they left on his arm so obviously it had something to do with cardiac. How important is that? Extremely!! But anyway By time we drove halfway to First health in Rockingham and called for them to say that they don't deal with labor & delivery, I then drove her about and hour to Sanford where she began labor during registration. By the time they got her to OB, she had a still birth. She was 21 weeks and nurses think this could've been prevented had the hospital done something.First Health Moore County could've prevented both of these deaths but didn't due to negligence. If no one does anything, it'll never matter and they'll continue to get away with this. If you were to call it for what it is, both of these cases are murder and these are only the two that I'm aware of. Imagine how many there are. This used to be the best hospital but now they are the worst.
The ER had me in, triaged, and treated all within 30 minutes. Staff, nurse, and doctor were all kind and attentive. I told the Doc I'd been through this before and knew how to handle it in regards to myself, he listened, added his professional opinion and had me good to go. One of the best, if not the best, hospital experiences I've ever had.
